A CHRISTMAS TREE

There's something about a Christmas tree,
That always thrills me so,
From the very top of my curly head,
To the tip of my shiny toe,
I love to see the lights blink on,
Like happy little eyes,
And feel the packages beneath,
That hold such glad surprise,
But best of all I love the star,
That shines so very bright,
Much like the one in Bethlehem,
That first glad Christmas night,
It sits up there and guards the tree,
And all the gifts below,
I'm sure the lights, and star and tree,
All know I love them so.
