MY DREAM

I dreamed I was an Angel,
And sang at Jesus' birth.
I sang to lowly shepherds,
Of love and peace on earth.

I sang of God and sinful men,
Of people everywhere.
I sang about the Father's love,
And the Saviors' constant care.

I watched the shepherds as they ran,
To Bethlehem that night.
I wished that I could follow them,
To see that wondrous sight.

I longed to see His manger bed,
But I knew I must depart.
When I awoke and sang for joy,
For He was in my heart.
