TENTH ANNIVERSARY

Do you remember, darling,
Ten years ago to-day?
We stood together, hand-in-hand,
And heard the Preacher say,
"Do you take this woman,
To be your wedded wife" ?
Then he asked if I’d have you
I gave myself for life.
You placed my ring upon my hand,
And sealed it with a kiss,
You whispered low, so I could hear,
"It will always be like this".
I loved you then so very much,
But through the years I find,
My love has grown with leaps and bounds,
It's the everlasting kind.
Then one cold December day,
You smiled to hide a tear,
As we peeked inside a blanket,
Our Baby, Oh, so Dear.
Do you remember, darling,
How soft she looked, and pink?
Oh, how she added to our love,
By far the strongest link.
We've had such happiness ,we two,
That troubles are forgot,
We’ve mixed our tears with laughter,
For we have laughed a lot.
We’ve had our ups and downs, that’s true
But love has held us fast,
So with God’s help and blessing,
May our marriage last and last.
