THE STAR OF LOVE

Last night I looked up at the stars,
So beautiful and bright,
And I thought about the special one,
That shone that Christmas night.

I think the Father sent the Light,
So the shepherds wouldn't fall,
When they looked for Baby Jesus,
Sleeping in a donkey's stall.

And I think He wanted Mary,
To see Her Baby dear,
So He let His Light of Love shine down,
On that stable dark and drear.

His Light still shines with love Devine,
Not from a star to-day,
But through the Lives of Christians,
In the way they work and play.
