YOU CAN'T BE EVERYTHING

I'd like to drop a hint or two.
Or Come right out and say.
You can't be everything, my friend,
God didn't plan that way.

If you lead songs or teach a class,
Or supervise and preach.
Sometimes it's hard to do your best,
And goals are hard to reach.

Perhaps you can do two jobs well,
Or maybe three or four.
But to give your best to everyone,
You can't do too much more.

God g1ves to each, some talent,
And expects us to make good,
But He didn't mean for one to run,
The church and neighborhood.

If you can only do one job,
Then do your very best,
I believe the Lord will understand,
And that you will be blest.

God gave to Joseph, Leadership,
And the power to forgive,
And because he used it Wisely,
His family was to live.

And God gave wealth to Soloman,
And He gave him wisdom too,
But He gave great strength to Samson.
What has He given you?

When mighty Moses started out,
He only had a rod.
But he accomplished many things,
Because he trusted God.

Now Hannah didn't do so much,
But she knew how to pray,
And when her prayers were answered,
She kept her vow, one day.

Ruth knew how to gather grain,
In this she did her best,
And she was honored for her work,
For she was truly blest.

Jesus used the fishermen,
And all that left their sin,
And He can use us, everyone,
If we do what we can for Him.
