JUST FOR ME

Just for me He came from Gory,
Left His Father's home on high,
Precious Jesus; Precious Savior,
and on Him; I will rely.

Just for me; He walked the pathway,
that I must walk day after day,
Just for me; He left His footprints,
So that I might see the way.

Just for me; He healed the wounded,
and He made the blind to see,
That I might know His wondrous promise,
That His healing is for me.

Just for me; He prayed and fasted,
Just for me; sweat drops of blood,
That I might know this sweet salvation,
Just by plunging in the blood.

Just for me; taught the people,
as He walked near Galilee,
That I might learn His simple teaching,
For those lessons were for me.

Just for me He bore the heartache,
When His friends all turned Him down,
For He knew I'd be forsaken,
if I ever earned a crown.

Just for me; He went to Calvary,
And took my place upon the tree,
He was pure; and He was sinless,
Yet He died to ransom me.

Just for me; He bore the mocking,
Just for me; the agony,
Just for me; He bled and suffered,
On the cross at Calvary.

Just for me; He rose in triumph,
Broke the bonds of death that day,
So that I might too; be risen,
On that Great and Wondrous Day.

Just for me; He reigns forever,
at The Father's dear right hand,
Just for me; He pleads for mercy,
for I know He understands.

Just for me; my Precious Savior,
came to earth to take my place,
Oh; that I may live for Jesus,
and may some day see His face.
