MILDRED 75th BIRTHDAY

This is Mildred's Birthday, We're here to celebrate,

We do not need to know the Years, We need to know the date.

Her Grandma was her Mother, I think she taught her well.

She showed her how to live for God, More than tongue could tell.

I met her when our kids were small, we have been friends for many years

We have shared a lot of laughter, and we have shared a lot of tears.

Her kids have always been her pride and Granddaughters too

But Scott and Heather's extra dear and she don't mind telling you.

I've never had to loose a child, I've never known the pain,

But Mildred lost a baby girl, One day she'll hold again.

I've heard her tell about her ducks and how God cared for them.

And how He'd always cares for her if she only trusted Him.

About a car she lost one time, but it seemed it was the best.

For when she gave it to the Lord, He took care of all the rest.

She's faithful to God's service, as long as she is well.

She went into the by-ways His saving grace to tell

I've seen her on the mountain top and in the valley low.

I've seen her face when streaked with tears, I have also seen it glow.

One thing we learned some years ago, If you want the church to grow,

We'll plan to sing a special, that is all you'll have to know.

She loves to fish and travel and go camping, that is true.

She loves her yard and flowers and her garden's special too.

I guess I've rambled on enough, but you know that is my way.

So now I'll stop and wish to you a very happy day.
