WE WERE THERE

(This is for 8 primary children)

Girls dressed as Mary

I was Mary, picked by God
Why had He chosen me,
To be the Mother of His Son,
The One to set men free?

Boy dressed as Joseph,

I was Joseph, kind and good,
God was good to me,
He wanted me to share His Son,
Like He belonged to me.

Boy dressed as Inn Keeper,

I was the keeper of the Inn,
That winter afternoon,
I offered them a stable bed,
Because there was no room.

Girl dressed as an Angel,

I was an angel pure and white,
That came from Heaven high,
To tell of peace, good will to men,
And light the winter sky.

Boy dressed as shepherded,

I was a shepherd on the hill,
And saw the Holy Light,
I left the flock, and found the Baby,
On that first Christmas night.

Child holding larger star,

I was the star that shone so bright,
Above His Manger bed,
To help the shepherds find the way
The Wise-men Too, I led.
