WHEN THE GOING'S HARD

When the going's hard, and the journeys long.

Look to the Lord, He'll make you strong.

And if a song is hard to sing,

Just praise the Lord, and let it ring.

And when old Satan makes you fall.

Fall on your knees and upward call.

For Satan only pulls us down

It's God that makes us Heaven bound.

When friends seem cold, and do not care.

Look to The Friend, that's always there.

When sorrows come, and they always do.

The One who cares will comfort you.

He knows what's best for you and me.

So trust in Him, He'll make you free.

When a prayer, you've prayed just don't come true.

Believe He hears and He'll answer you.

When the Tempter comes with his fiery dart.

Let Jesus know what's in your heart.

When loved ones turn their back on Him,

Just pray they’ll someday turn from sin.

It does no good to bribe or force.

But trust the Holy Spirits course.

It makes no difference where you stand.

If you reach up, He'll take your hand.

He'll see you through the darkest night.

And in the morning give you light.

If you'd like to see old Satan fly.

Just find a friend and testify.

When your body's full of pain,

And it would be easy to complain,

Remember it will soon decay,

But the soul's the same day after day.
