WHEN WE ARE WEAK
Peter was a chosen friend,
as close as friends could be.
They walked the hills together,
and sat beside the Sea.
He left his family and his nets,
to fish for sinful men.
He pledged to follow after Christ,
and defend Him to the end.
He drew his sword before the crowd,
but slept when asked to pray.
He pledged his love forever,
till they led his Lord away.
Now Peter had to stand alone,
as sometimes, we must do.
When others ask about our Lord,
do we hear the cock crow too?
