CHAPTER 10 TO 11 RECOVERY OF MAN AND REPOPULATION OF THE EARTH.
FROM FLOOD TO ABRAHAM THIS PERIOD IN BABYLONIAN HISTORY
Ancient Babylonian inscripture states that when the flood overthrew the land there had been 10 Pre-flood kings
Between the flood and Abraham this period there were 100 kings of 20 different cities or dynastics.
LAGASH DYNASTY: After the flood in South Babylonia Lagash was the capital of the first Sumerian or Hamitis. After Kish was the it was the capital of the first Semitic Kingdom in North Babjlonia about 100 miles apart. Excauated by Sarzec 1877-1904 Lagash was a library center.
CITY DINGDOMS: Historic opening period there were cities at Kish, Fara, Larsa, Babylon, Accad, Nippur, Eridu, Ur, Erech, Lagash and others. All the cities were in constant conflict and when one would gain control they would form a small empire. The kings recorded information on clay tablets, which thousands have been recovered. Even with them the Chronology of the period is very in-certain. A lot of history between the flood and Abraham, the principal dynastic came from these tables. The center of the population was around traditional home of Noah and the cities were Eriduj, Fara, and Eden.
ERECH DYNASTY: One of Nimrod's cities Erech, also called Warka or Uruk. It was about 50 miles from the traditional Garden of Eden. Lugalziggisssi who called himself "Lord of the World" was one of its kings. It was the chief seat of Ishtar worship where prostitution was compulsory. In 1913 Koldeway and Noldeka excavated Erech. Then Jordan 1928-1933 excavated it. It was found that it had 18 distinct per-historic layers and one of the oldest cities.
ACCAD DYNASTY: About 100 miles northwest from Noah's traditional home Fara was another of Nimrod's cities called Accad, also called Sippar. SARGON I who ruled form Elam to Mt. Sinai produced from Accad the most famous warrior of Pr-Abrahamic times. He was a great promoter of learning, builder and a great conqueror. He built a great library an thought of been about contemporary with Cheops, in Egypt the builder of the Great Pyramids
UR DYNASTIES: Ur was outstripped by nearly every city until after the flood and it was 12 miles from Eridu. It had grown to be the leading city of the world by the time of Abraham. Under Ur-engur and Dungi two of most famous Kings Ur ruled form the Persian Gulf to the Mediterranean.
BABYLON DYNASTY: 2000B.C. about the time of Abraham's migration to Canaan, under Hammurabi Babylon came into supremacy. A great warrior, Hammurabi who complied legal code and built temples is commonly identified with "Anraphel" of Genesis 14:1 Under Nimrod, Sargon, and Hammurabi civilization was developing in Babylonia. It made greater strides in Egypt the first 12 Dynastic which covered the period between the flood and Abram.
The Descendants of Noah
The Ark comes to rest at Mt Ararat near the headwater of the Euphrates,
then they depart some 500 miles to Babylonic, which was their home before the flood.
Then about 100 years later (10:25) due to the confusion of tonguew they were scatteded again.
FROM FLOOD TO ABRAHAM CHAPTER 10 TO 11
Shem has a long life born 98 years before the flood and died 150 years after the birth of Abraham.
Shem may of handed to Abraham the 5th document composing Genesis after he had prepared it.
Soon after the flood Mizraim, son of Ham founded Egypt. It was called "Land of Ham"
Manetho, an Egyptian wrote a history of Egypt about 250 B.C. He arranged under 31 dynastic for the first historical king, Menes, to Alexander the Great conquering about 332 B.C. Ancient Egyptian history is commonly spoken of in terms of these 31 dynasties. Archaeological findings has corroborates their correction.

Egyptian Pyramids were merely tombs to perpetuate the glory of the Pharaoh who built them
Unlike the Babylonian Temped towers which were built with shrines at the top to worship false gods.
Beginning in the 1st dynasty until the 4th dynasty the Pyramid craze reached its Zenith.
The grandest monument of the Ages was the Great Pyramid of Cheops. It covered 13 acres 768 feet square (Now 750) 482 feet high (Now 450) (Stones were removed to be used at other location is why there is a now is less.) Estimated to have contained 2,300,000 stones of an average thickness of 3 feet each and an average weight of 2.5 tons.
Built of Successive coats of rough-hewn blocks of limiston. Smooth by exquisitely carved and close filing blocks of granite on the outer coat. Used in the building of Caira the outer blocks were removed. In the pyramid was 3 feet wide 4 feet high is a passage in the middle of the north side that leads into a chamber that is cut in solid rock. 100 feet under ground level and exactly 600 feet under the apex, two other chambers halfway between this and the apex with pictures and sculputes depicting the king's exploits.
The mummy of Cheops was not present.
HOW BUILT: Using stone and copper instruments only the stones were cut from a quarry 12 miles to the east during inundations floated across the Nile and then drawn up long sloping construction ramps of earth. Moved by means of wedges driven alternately on one side and then the other of platforms with cradle like bottoms with endless gangs of men tugging at ropes. To build the ramps way it is said it took 100,000 men 10 years and then to build the pyramid another 20 years using all forced labor.
THE THREE GREAT EPOCHS OF EGYPTIAN HISTORY WERE!

THE EMPIRE PERIOD:
Dynastics 18 and 19; 1600-1200 B.C. The first World Empire. This was the time of Israel's sojourn in Egypt, the first world empire ruled from Ethiopia to the Euphrates.
Egyptian Chronology. The chronology is fairly well established until the 1600 BC. then before that time it is uncertain. The first historical king, Menes, is dated by Egyptologists variously as follows. Petrie 550 BC ; Brugsch 4500 B.C ; Lepsius 3900 B.C ; Bunsen 3600 B.C ; Breasted 3400 B.C ; Meeyer 3300 B.C ; Scharff 3000 B.C ; Poole 2700 B.C ; G. Rawlinson 2450 B.C ; Wildson 2320 B.C ; and Scharpe 2000 B.C.
Two of the most famous Egyprologist Breasted and Petrie deffer by 2000 years at the beginning of the date of the point of Egyprian history. On the dates of the Pyramids the same two differ by more than 1000 years and in the Hyksos period 700 years
