Numbers 15
1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
2Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land of your habitations, which I give unto you,
3And will make an offering by fire unto the LORD, a burnt offering, or a sacrifice in performing a vow, or in a freewill offering, or in your solemn feasts, to make a sweet savour unto the LORD, of the herd, or of the flock:
4Then shall he that offereth his offering unto the LORD bring a meat offering of a tenth deal of flour mingled with the fourth part of an hin of oil.
5And the fourth part of an hin of wine for a drink offering shalt thou prepare with the burnt offering or sacrifice, for one lamb.
6Or for a ram, thou shalt prepare for a meat offering two tenth deals of flour mingled with the third part of an hin of oil.
7And for a drink offering thou shalt offer the third part of an hin of wine, for a sweet savour unto the LORD.
8And when thou preparest a bullock for a burnt offering, or for a sacrifice in performing a vow, or peace offerings unto the LORD:
9Then shall he bring with a bullock a meat offering of three tenth deals of flour mingled with half an hin of oil.
10And thou shalt bring for a drink offering half an hin of wine, for an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
11Thus shall it be done for one bullock, or for one ram, or for a lamb, or a kid.
12According to the number that ye shall prepare, so shall ye do to every one according to their number.
13All that are born of the country shall do these things after this manner, in offering an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
14And if a stranger sojourn with you, or whosoever be among you in your generations, and will offer an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD; as ye do, so he shall do.
15One ordinance shall be both for you of the congregation, and also for the stranger that sojourneth with you, an ordinance for ever in your generations: as ye are, so shall the stranger be before the LORD.
16One law and one manner shall be for you, and for the stranger that sojourneth with you..
17 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
18Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land whither I bring you,
19Then it shall be, that, when ye eat of the bread of the land, ye shall offer up an heave offering unto the LORD.
20Ye shall offer up a cake of the first of your dough for an heave offering: as ye do the heave offering of the threshingfloor, so shall ye heave it.
21Of the first of your dough ye shall give unto the LORD an heave offering in your generations.
22And if ye have erred, and not observed all these commandments, which the LORD hath spoken unto Moses,
23Even all that the LORD hath commanded you by the hand of Moses, from the day that the LORD commanded Moses, and henceforward among your generations;
24Then it shall be, if ought be committed by ignorance without the knowledge of the congregation, that all the congregation shall offer one young bullock for a burnt offering, for a sweet savour unto the LORD, with his meat offering, and his drink offering, according to the manner, and one kid of the goats for a sin offering.
25And the priest shall make an atonement for all the congregation of the children of Israel, and it shall be forgiven them; for it isignorance: and they shall bring their offering, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD, and their sin offering before the LORD, for their ignorance:
26And it shall be forgiven all the congregation of the children of Israel, and the stranger that sojourneth among them; seeing all the people were in ignorance.
27And if any soul sin through ignorance, then he shall bring a she goat of the first year for a sin offering.
28And the priest shall make an atonement for the soul that sinneth ignorantly, when he sinneth by ignorance before the LORD, to make an atonement for him; and it shall be forgiven him.
29Ye shall have one law for him that sinneth through ignorance, both for him that is born among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them.
30But the soul that doeth ought presumptuously, whether he be born in the land, or a stranger, the same reproacheth the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
31Because he hath despised the word of the LORD, and hath broken his commandment, that soul shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity shall be upon him.
32And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man that gathered sticks upon the sabbath day.
33And they that found him gathering sticks brought him unto Moses and Aaron, and unto all the congregation.
34And they put him in ward, because it was not declared what should be done to him.
35And the LORD said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp.
36And all the congregation brought him without the camp, and stoned him with stones, and he died; as the LORD commanded Moses.
37And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
38Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put upon the fringe of the borders a ribband of blue:
39And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the LORD, and do them; and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a whoring:
40That ye may remember, and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God.
41I am the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the LORD your God.
1And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,
2Speake vnto the children of Israel, and say vnto them, When ye be come into the land of your habitations, which I giue vnto you,
3And will make an offering by fire vnto the Lord, a burnt offering or a sacrifice in performing a vow, or in a free will offering, or in your solemne feasts, to make a sweet sauour vnto the Lord, of the herd or of the flocke:
4Then shall he that offereth his offering vnto the Lord, bring a meat offring of a tenth deale of flowre, mingled with the fourth part of an Hyn of oyle.
5And the fourth part of an Hyn of wine for a drinke offring shalt thou prepare, with the burnt offering or sacrifice for one lambe.
6Or for a ramme, thou shalt prepare for a meate offering two tenth deales of flowre mingled with the third part of an Hyn of oyle.
7And for a drinke offering, thou shalt offer the third part of an Hyn of wine, for a sweete sauour vnto the Lord.
8And when thou preparest a bullocke for a burnt offering, or for a sacrifice in performing a vow, or peace offerings vnto the Lord:
9Then shall hee bring with a bullocke a meate offering of three tenth deales of flowre, mingled with halfe an Hyn of oyle.
10And thou shalt bring for a drinke offering halfe an Hyn of wine, for an offering made by fire of a sweet sauour vnto the Lord.
11Thus shall it be done for one bullocke, or for one ramme, or for a lambe, or a kidde.
12According to the number that yee shall prepare, so shall yee doe to euery one, according to their number.
13All that are borne of the countrey shall doe these things after this maner, in offering an offering made by fire of a sweet sauour, vnto the Lord.
14And if a stranger soiourne with you, or whosoeuer bee among you in your generations, and will offer an offering made by fire of a sweete sauour vnto the Lord: as ye doe, so hee shall doe.
15One ordinance shall be both for you of the Congregation, and also for the stranger that soiourneth with you, an ordinance for euer in your generations: as ye are, so shall the stranger bee, before the Lord.
16One law, and one maner shall be for you, and for the stranger that soiourneth with you.
17 And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,
18Speake vnto the children of Israel, and say vnto them, When ye come into the land whither I bring you,
19Then it shall be that when ye eate of the bread of the land, yee shall offer vp an heaue offring vnto the Lord.
20Ye shall offer vp a cake of the first of your dough, for an heaue offring: as ye doe the heaue offering of the threshing floore, so shall ye heaue it.
21Of the first of your dough ye shal giue vnto the Lord, an heaue offering in your generations.
22 And if yee haue erred, and not obserued all these Commaundements which the Lord hath spoken vnto Moses,
23Euen all that the Lord hath commanded you, by the hand of Moses from the day that the Lord commanded Moses, and henceforward among your generations:
24Then it shalbe, if ought be committed by ignorance without the knowledge of the Congregation, that all the Congregation shall offer one yong bullocke for a burnt offering, for a sweet sauour vnto the Lord, with his meate offering, and his drinke offering, according to the manner, and one kid of the goats for a sinne offering.
25And the Priest shall make an atonement for all the Congregation of the children of Israel, and it shal be forgiuen them, for it is ignorance: and they shall bring their offring, a sacrifice made by fire vnto the Lord, and their sinne offering before the Lord, for their ignorance.
26And it shall bee forgiuen all the Congregation of the children of Israel, and the stranger that soiourneth among them, seeing all the people were in ignorance.
27 And if any soule sinne through ignorance, then hee shall bring a shee goat of the first yeere for a sinne offring.
28And the Priest shall make an atonement for the soule that sinneth ignorantly, when he sinneth by ignorance before the Lord, to make an atonement for him, & it shalbe forgiuen him.
29You shall haue one law for him that sinneth through ignorance, both for him that is borne amongst the children of Israel, and for the stranger that soiourneth among them.
30 But the soule that doeth ought presumptuously, whether he be borne in the land, or a stranger, the same reprocheth the Lord: and that soule shall be cut off from among his people.
31Because he hath despised the word of the Lord, and hath broken his commandement, that soule shall vtterly be cut off: his iniquitie shall be vpon him.
32 And while the children of Israel were in the wildernes, they found a man that gathered stickes vpon the Sabbath day.
33And they that found him gathering sticks, brought him vnto Moses and Aaron, and vnto all the Congregation.
34And they put him in ward, because it was not declared what should be done to him.

1 The LORD said to Moses,
2 "Give the Israelites these instructions: When you have entered the land that I will give you for your homesteads,
3 if you make to the LORD a sweet-smelling oblation from the herd or from the flock, in holocaust, in fulfillment of a vow, or as a freewill offering, or for one of your festivals,
4 whoever does so shall also present to the LORD a cereal offering consisting of a tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with a fourth of a hin of oil,
5 as well as a libation of a fourth of a hin of wine, with each lamb sacrificed in holocaust or otherwise.
6 With each sacrifice of a ram you shall present a cereal offering of two tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with a third of a hin of oil,
7 and a libation of a third of a hin of wine, thus making a sweet-smelling offering to the LORD.
8 When you sacrifice an ox as a holocaust, or in fulfillment of a vow, or as a peace offering to the LORD,
9 with it you shall present a cereal offering of three tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with half a hin of oil,
10 and a libation of half a hin of wine, as a sweet-smelling oblation to the LORD.
11 The same is to be done for each ox, ram, lamb or goat.
12 Whatever the number you offer, do the same for each of them.
13 "All the native-born shall make these offerings in the same way, whenever they present a sweet-smelling oblation to the LORD.
14 Likewise, in any future generation, any alien residing with you permanently or for a time, who presents a sweet-smelling oblation to the LORD, shall do as you do.
15 There is but one rule for you and for the resident alien, a perpetual rule for all your descendants. Before the LORD you and the alien are alike,
16 with the same law and the same application of it for the alien residing among you as for yourselves."
17 The LORD said to Moses,
18 "Speak to the Israelites and tell them: When you enter the land into which I will bring you
19 and begin to eat of the food of that land, you shall offer the LORD a contribution
20 consisting of a cake of your first batch of dough. You shall offer it just as you offer a contribution from the threshing floor.
21 Throughout your generations you shall give a contribution to the LORD from your first batch of dough.
22 "When through inadvertence you fail to carry out any of these commandments which the LORD gives to Moses,
23 and through Moses to you, from the time the LORD first issues the commandment down through your generations:
24 if the community itself unwittingly becomes guilty of the fault of inadvertence, the whole community shall offer the holocaust of one young bull as a sweet-smelling oblation pleasing to the LORD, along with its prescribed cereal offering and libation, as well as one he-goat as a sin offering.
25 Then the priest shall make atonement for the whole Israelite community; thus they will be forgiven the inadvertence for which they have brought their holocaust as an oblation to the LORD.
26 Not only the whole Israelite community, but also the aliens residing among you, shall be forgiven, since the fault of inadvertence affects all the people.
27 "However, if it is an individual who sins inadvertently, he shall bring a yearling she-goat as a sin offering,
28 and the priest shall make atonement before the LORD for him who sinned inadvertently; when atonement has been made for him, he will be forgiven.
29 You shall have but one law for him who sins inadvertently, whether he be a native Israelite or an alien residing with you.
30 "But anyone who sins defiantly, whether he be a native or an alien, insults the LORD, and shall be cut off from among his people.
31 Since he has despised the word of the LORD and has broken his commandment, he must be cut off. He has only himself to blame."
32 While the Israelites were in the desert, a man was discovered gathering wood on the sabbath day.
33 Those who caught him at it brought him to Moses and Aaron and the whole assembly.
34 But they kept him in custody, for there was no clear decision as to what should be done with him.
35 Then the LORD said to Moses, "This man shall be put to death; let the whole community stone him outside the camp."
36 So the whole community led him outside the camp and stoned him to death, as the LORD had commanded Moses.
37 The LORD said to Moses,
38 "Speak to the Israelites and tell them that they and their descendants must put tassels on the corners of their garments, fastening each corner tassel with a violet cord.
39 When you use these tassels, let the sight of them remind you to keep all the commandments of the LORD, without going wantonly astray after the desires of your hearts and eyes.
40 Thus you will remember to keep all my commandments and be holy to your God.
41 I, the LORD, am your God who, as God, brought you out of Egypt that I, the LORD, may be your God."
1 – 16 The Amounts of Meal, Oil, and Wine that Should be Used with Different Sacrifices.
v 1-13. The wilderness experience was a necessary discipline for redeemed Israel, but the added years of wandering were due entirely to their unbelief. Lest the people give up in despair because of their hopeless continuing sins, the Lord gives encouragement of what they are to do when they enter the land. Instead of stressing the sin offering, He opens the door for fellowship by reminding them of the rules for the sweet savor offerings. Actually, these are supplementary offerings to what has been told before. The rules applied to all Israelites to be born in the land.
v 14-16. These rules for sweet savor offerings were also to apply to any aliens in their midst who believed in God, same as for the people of the land. In civil things, there was a difference, but in relationship to God, they were to be equal. This is a brief preview of the Church today, where we are all one body in Christ.
17 – 21 Reserving a Portion for Jehovah.
v 17-21. In another encouragement that they would finally enter the promised land, they are to present the Lord with a cake made from the first cutting of grain.
22 – 31 Propitiation for Unintentional Wrongdoing
v 22-29. There were so many regulations that it would be easy for someone to sin through error or ignorance. If the congregation sinned, they were to bring a young bullock with it’s meat and drink offerings for a burnt offering and a kid of the goats for a sin offering. If an individual or a stranger among them sinned in ignorance, they were to bring a female goat of the first year for a sin offering.
v 30,31. If anyone born in the land or a stranger sinned openly and willfully, there would be no atonement for them, and they were to be utterly cut off, that is by death.
32 – 36 The Sabbath Breaker
v 32-36. In an illustration of presumptuous sin, a man gathered sticks on the Sabbath and was put in prison because they were not certain if the command of Ex. 31:14,15 and 35:2 applied to the situation. The Lord told Moses that man should die, so he was taken outside the camp and stoned to death. (They were not even to bake or kindle a fire on the Sabbath.)
37 – 41 Fringes
v 37-41. See Deut. 22:12. We would state that they were to have a tassel on each corner of the extremity of their garment, and it should have a blue cord attached in it. This heavenly color was to remind them of God’s care for them and their obligation to Him. Later the Scribes and Pharisees made their tassels conspicuous in their self righteousness, Matt. 23:5, thus making the tassel a means in itself, rather than a remembrance of the Lord’s commands
