39 "These are the offerings you shall make to the LORD on your festivals, besides whatever holocausts, cereal offerings, libations, and peace offerings you present as your votive or freewill offerings."

v 1. Feast of Trumpets. On the first day of the seventh month is a holy convocation, a day of blowing trumpets with no servile work being done.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

v 7. Day of Atonement. This is on the tenth day of the seventh month and is a day of holy convocation in which they afflict their souls and not do any work. They are to be truly sorrowful and repentant of their sins. Several lambs are offered, and this is the big day of the year when the high priest goes into the Most Holy Place to make atonement.

 

 

 

v 12. Feast of Tabernacles. This lasted from the fifteenth day of the seventh month through the 22nd day. It was at the end of the harvest and was a time of thanksgiving to the Lord. Children especially thrilled with the setting up of shelters on the roofs and streets in which to live during this week. The first day was a Sabbath, and in addition to the multiple offerings including 13 bulls, the male goat for a sin offering and daily burnt offerings were required. The second day was like the first except each day one less bull was offered with seven on the seventh day. The eighth day was another Sabbath, or solemn assembly in which no servile work was done and several more animals were offered. This is a brief summary, see the Scripture for more details.
