1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
2If a soul sin, and commit a trespass against the LORD, and lie unto his neighbour in that which was delivered him to keep, or in fellowship, or in a thing taken away by violence, or hath deceived his neighbour;
3Or have found that which was lost, and lieth concerning it, and sweareth falsely; in any of all these that a man doeth, sinning therein:
4Then it shall be, because he hath sinned, and is guilty, that he shall restore that which he took violently away, or the thing which he hath deceitfully gotten, or that which was delivered him to keep, or the lost thing which he found,
5Or all that about which he hath sworn falsely; he shall even restore it in the principal, and shall add the fifth part more thereto, and give it unto him to whom it appertaineth, in the day of his trespass offering.
6And he shall bring his trespass offering unto the LORD, a ram without blemish out of the flock, with thy estimation, for a trespass offering, unto the priest:
7And the priest shall make an atonement for him before the LORD: and it shall be forgiven him for any thing of all that he hath done in trespassing therein.
8And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
9Command Aaron and his sons, saying, This is the law of the burnt offering: It is the burnt offering, because of the burning upon the altar all night unto the morning, and the fire of the altar shall be burning in it.
10And the priest shall put on his linen garment, and his linen breeches shall he put upon his flesh, and take up the ashes which the fire hath consumed with the burnt offering on the altar, and he shall put them beside the altar.
11And he shall put off his garments, and put on other garments, and carry forth the ashes without the camp unto a clean place.
12And the fire upon the altar shall be burning in it; it shall not be put out: and the priest shall burn wood on it every morning, and lay the burnt offering in order upon it; and he shall burn thereon the fat of the peace offerings.
13The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out.
14And this is the law of the meat offering: the sons of Aaron shall offer it before the LORD, before the altar.
15And he shall take of it his handful, of the flour of the meat offering, and of the oil thereof, and all the frankincense which is upon the meat offering, and shall burn it upon the altar for a sweet savour, even the memorial of it, unto the LORD.
16And the remainder thereof shall Aaron and his sons eat: with unleavened bread shall it be eaten in the holy place; in the court of the tabernacle of the congregation they shall eat it.
17It shall not be baken with leaven. I have given it unto them for their portion of my offerings made by fire; it is most holy, as is the sin offering, and as the trespass offering.
18All the males among the children of Aaron shall eat of it. It shall bea statute for ever in your generations concerning the offerings of the LORD made by fire: every one that toucheth them shall be holy.
19And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
20This is the offering of Aaron and of his sons, which they shall offer unto the LORD in the day when he is anointed; the tenth part of an ephah of fine flour for a meat offering perpetual, half of it in the morning, and half thereof at night.
21In a pan it shall be made with oil; and when it is baken, thou shalt bring it in: and the baken pieces of the meat offering shalt thou offer for a sweet savour unto the LORD.
22And the priest of his sons that is anointed in his stead shall offer it: it is a statute for ever unto the LORD; it shall be wholly burnt.
23For every meat offering for the priest shall be wholly burnt: it shall not be eaten.
24 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
25Speak unto Aaron and to his sons, saying, This is the law of the sin offering: In the place where the burnt offering is killed shall the sin offering be killed before the LORD: it is most holy.
26The priest that offereth it for sin shall eat it: in the holy place shall it be eaten, in the court of the tabernacle of the congregation.
27Whatsoever shall touch the flesh thereof shall be holy: and when there is sprinkled of the blood thereof upon any garment, thou shalt wash that whereon it was sprinkled in the holy place.
28But the earthen vessel wherein it is sodden shall be broken: and if it be sodden in a brasen pot, it shall be both scoured, and rinsed in water.
29All the males among the priests shall eat thereof: it is most holy.
30And no sin offering, whereof any of the blood is brought into the tabernacle of the congregation to reconcile withal in the holy place, shall be eaten: it shall be burnt in the fire.
1 And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,
2If a soule sinne, and commit a trespasse against the Lord, and lie vnto his neighbour in that which was deliuered him to keepe, or in fellowship, or in a thing taken away by violence, or hath deceiued his neighbour:

4Then it shall be, because he hath sinned, and is guiltie, that hee shall restore that which he tooke violently away, or the thing which he hath deceitfully gotten, or that which was deliuered him to keepe, or the lost thing which he found:
5Or all that about which hee hath sworne falsly: hee shall euen restore it in the principall, and shall adde the fift part more thereto, and giue it vnto him to whom it apperteineth, in the day of his trespasse offering.

13The fire shall euer be burning vpon the Altar: it shall neuer goe out.
14 And this is the law of the meat offering: the sonnes of Aaron shall offer it before the Lord, before the Altar.
15And he shall take of it his handfull, of the flowre of the meat offering, and of the oyle therof, and all the frankincense which is vpon the meat offring, and shall burne it vpon the Altar, for a sweet sauour, euen the memoriall of it vnto the Lord.
16And the remainder thereof shall Aaron and his sonnes eat: with vnleauened bread shall it be eaten in the holy place: in the court of the Tabernacle of the Congregation they shall eat it.

1 The LORD said to Moses,
2 "Give Aaron and his sons the following command: This is the ritual for holocausts. The holocaust is to remain on the hearth of the altar all night until the next morning, and the fire is to be kept burning on the altar.
3 The priest, clothed in his linen robe and wearing linen drawers on his body, shall take away the ashes to which the fire has reduced the holocaust on the altar, and lay them at the side of the altar.
4 Then, having taken off these garments and put on other garments, he shall carry the ashes to a clean place outside the camp.
5 The fire on the altar is to be kept burning; it must not go out. Every morning the priest shall put firewood on it. On this he shall lay out the holocaust and burn the fat of the peace offerings.
6 The fire is to be kept burning continuously on the altar; it must not go out.
7 "This is the ritual of the cereal offering. One of Aaron's sons shall first present it before the LORD, in front of the altar.
8 Then he shall take from it a handful of its fine flour and oil, together with all the frankincense that is on it, and this he shall burn on the altar as its token offering, a sweet-smelling oblation to the LORD.
9 The rest of it Aaron and his sons may eat; but it must be eaten in the form of unleavened cakes and in a sacred place: in the court of the meeting tent they shall eat it.
10 It shall not be baked with leaven. I have given it to them as their portion from the oblations of the LORD; it is most sacred, like the sin offering and the guilt offering.
11 All the male descendants of Aaron may partake of it as their rightful share in the oblations of the LORD perpetually throughout your generations. Whatever touches the oblations becomes sacred."
12 The LORD said to Moses,
13 "This is the offering that Aaron and his sons shall present to the LORD (on the day he is anointed): one tenth of an ephah of fine flour for the established cereal offering, half in the morning and half in the evening.
14 It shall be well kneaded and fried in oil on a griddle when you bring it in. Having broken the offering into pieces, you shall present it as a sweet-smelling oblation to the LORD.
15 Aaron's descendant who succeeds him as the anointed priest shall do likewise. This is a perpetual ordinance: for the Lord the whole offering shall be burned.
16 Every cereal offering of a priest shall be a whole burnt offering; it may not be eaten."
17 The LORD said to Moses,
18 "Tell Aaron and his sons: This is the ritual for sin offerings. At the place where holocausts are slaughtered, there also, before the LORD, shall the sin offering be slaughtered. It is most sacred.
19 The priest who presents the sin offering may partake of it; but it must be eaten in a sacred place, in the court of the meeting tent.
20 Whatever touches its flesh shall become sacred. If any of its blood is spilled on a garment, the stained part must be washed in a sacred place.
21 A clay vessel in which it has been cooked shall thereafter be broken; if it is cooked in a bronze vessel, this shall be scoured afterward and rinsed with water.
22 All the males of the priestly line may partake of the sin offering, since it is most sacred.
23 But no one may partake of any sin offering of which some blood has been brought into the meeting tent to make atonement in the sanctuary; such an offering must be burned up in the fire.
v 1-7. Previous trespass offerings had to do with sins committed in ignorance. These sins have to do with violation of property rights, and would have been deliberate. Verse 2 makes it clear that sins against a neighbor are “against the Lord” David said “Ps 51:4, Against thee, thee only, have I sinned.” These listed seem to involve embezzlement, theft, extortion, and failure to return lost property. Since this violated the rights of another individual, the restitution payment must be paid in full, and the 20% fine paid to that individual on the day the offender brings his trespass or guilt offering. It was to be a ram without blemish and of appropriate value as in 5:15 notes, at least 2 shekels. With his offering, the priest makes atonement for him and he is forgiven. In case the offended person is deceased with no heirs, the restitution is paid to the priest for his use, Num. 5:8.
v 8-13. From here through chapter seven, there is some overlap of what has been covered in the first five chapters with some additional facts added. This section compares with Lev. 1:1-17, and deals with the law of the burnt offering and the need of the priests to keep the fire burning continually, day and night. The priest was to put on ordinary priest garments and take the ashes to the appointed clean place outside the camp.
v 14-18. This group concerning meal offering compares with Lev. 2:1-16. Most holy in verse 16; 10:12-18 and Num. 18:10 indicates things separated unto God. The priests were not to eat in the Most Holy Place or even the Holy Place in the tabernacle, but in the court of the tabernacle. See also 6:26. For this purpose it was considered holy or most holy, compared to offerings which could be eaten by the family of the priests outside the court. Only priests ate inside, compare Ex. 29:32. It is added that only males of the children of Aaron were to eat this.
v 19-23. This section deals with meal offerings priests must make themselves and was not mentioned in chapter 2. It was to be offered by the priest next in line to follow Aaron, the high priest, and offered half in the morning and half in the evening. Priests were not to eat of their own offering, so it was burned completely. This deals with the sin offering and supplements 4:1-35. Verse 26 adds detail to how priests could eat the flesh of sin offering (In the holy court yard). For the ruler or common person listed in 4:22-35. (Actually they were required to, v 29. Aaron and his sons were rebuked by Moses for not eating it after the two sons died, Lev. 10: 16-18) The sin offerings of the priest and of the congregation had blood taken into the holy place, so they were not to eat any from them, 6:30. Verse 27 gives the ritual for clothing to be reconsecrated by washing if it got blood spattered. Perhaps this answers the question of whether the blood was washed out of Aaron’s beautiful garments after his ceremony of consecration. If sacrificial meat was boiled in a clay pot it was to be broken, but a bronze pot was to be scoured and rinsed.
