Psalms 96 GOD OF THE UNIVERSE
1 O SING unto the Lord a new song: sing unto the Lord, all the earth.
2 Sing unto the Lord, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day.
3 Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.
4 For the Lord is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.
5 For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the Lord made the heavens.
6 Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
7 Give unto the Lord, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto the Lord glory and strength.
8 Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts.
9 O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.
10 Say among the heathen that the Lord reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously.
11 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof.
12 Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice
13 Before the Lord: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.
1O sing vnto the Lord a new song: sing vnto the Lord all the earth.
2Sing vnto the Lord, blesse his name: shew forth his saluation from day to day.
3Declare his glory among the heathen: his wonders among all people.
4For the Lord is great, and greatly to be praised: hee is to be feared aboue all Gods.
5For all the gods of the nations are idoles: but the Lord made the heauens.
6Honour and maiestie are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
7Giue vnto the Lord (O yee kinreds of the people:) giue vnto the Lord glory and strength.
8Giue vnto the Lord the glory due vnto his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts.
9O worship the Lord, in the beautie of holinesse: feare before him all the earth.
10Say among the heathen, that the Lord reigneth: the world also shalbe established that it shall not be moued: he shall iudge the people righteously.
11Let the heauens reioyce, and let the earth be glad: let the sea roare, and the fulnesse thereof.
12Let the field be ioyfull, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood reioyce
13Before the Lord, for hee commeth, for hee commeth to iudge the earth: hee shall iudge the world with righteousnesse, and the people with his trueth.

1 Sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the LORD, all the earth.
2 Sing to the LORD, bless his name; proclaim his salvation day after day.
3 Tell his glory among the nations; among all peoples, his marvelous deeds.
4 For great is the LORD and highly to be praised, to be feared above all gods.
5 For the gods of the nations are idols, but the LORD made the heavens.
6 Splendor and power go before him; power and grandeur are in his holy place.
7 Give to the LORD, you families of nations, give to the LORD glory and might;
8 give to the LORD the glory due his name! Bring gifts and enter his courts;
9 bow down to the LORD, splendid in holiness. Tremble before him, all the earth;
10 declare among the nations: The LORD is king. The world will surely stand fast, never to be shaken. He rules the peoples with fairness.
11 Let the heavens be glad and the earth rejoice; let the sea and what fills it resound;
12 let the plains be joyful and all that is in them. Then let all the trees of the forest rejoice
13 before the LORD who comes, who comes to govern the earth, To govern the world with justice and the peoples with faithfulness.
V 1-13. The Psalmist even calls on nature to rejoice in the Lord. Now, Rom 8:22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. After God judges and reigns, creation will not groan but rejoice, or flourish.
V 1-3. Jews were to be missionaries to the rest of the world, and here others are invited to lay aside former allegiances and sing a new song with them to the Lord.
V 4-6 The heathen gods were but idols, while the Lord is creator. Therefore He is great and worthy to be honored and praised.
V 7-10 Again all nations are called to worship God because it is due Him. The heathen are to told that the Lord is the righteous judge of all,
